What this tool does
Converts a regular SKU into its Shop Use / Tester counterpart (the same SKU prefixed with SU) by posting one Inventory Adjustment in NetSuite: it removes stock from the regular SKU and adds the same quantity to the SU SKU, at the outlet you select. You can convert several SKUs in one go — they'll all post together as a single adjustment.
Step-by-step
1Log in
Enter your work email and your Employee ID (used as your PIN). Only staff flagged as store managers in NetSuite can use this tool. You'll be logged out automatically after 2 minutes of inactivity, as a security measure — just log back in to continue; any SKUs you'd already typed in will still be there.
2Choose your location
Pick your outlet from the dropdown. This is remembered on this device, so you won't need to re-select it every time you log back in.
3Enter the conversion(s)
- SKU or barcode — type the item number or scan the barcode of the regular product you're converting.
- Quantity — how many units to convert.
- Memo (optional) — a short note for this specific item, e.g. the reason for the conversion. This gets saved against that line in NetSuite.
- Click + Add another SKU to convert multiple items in the same batch.
4Click "Check All"
This looks up each SKU, matches it to its SU counterpart, and checks whether it's allowed to be converted right now. You might see:
Fix any flagged rows and check again. Once everything passes, you'll see a green "All SKUs matched" message.
5Review and submit
The confirmation screen shows exactly what will be posted — each SKU going out, its SU counterpart coming in, and any memos. Click Post Inventory Adjustment to submit it to NetSuite. You'll see a confirmation with the resulting Adjustment number (e.g. STJ-2003010).
Good to know
- Conversion history at the bottom of the main page shows recent conversions made from this device — it's local to your browser, not a full company-wide record.
- Auto logout happens after 2 minutes of no activity, for security. Your in-progress entries are kept, so you just log back in and continue.
- Each SU item can only be converted once every so often (its lockout period) — the tool enforces this automatically so it can't be bypassed.
